Alli is an accredited CBT Psychotherapist (BABCP).
She has worked for 6 years for Bikur Cholim IAPT in Stamford Hill, a tailor made service for the ultra orthodox Jewish community. She has worked one-to-one with adult clients, yet frequently integrates client support workers, spouses and other family members into the therapy system in order to achieve the best results long term. Her role includes supervising other CBT therapists at Bikur Cholim and delivering self-help teleconferences to the Stamford Hill community on various mental health issues.
Alli has recently taken on the role of clinical supervisor and mental health educator for JTeen counsellors (a Jewish teen mental health textline) and will be delivering mental health education to pupils and parents in the near future.
Alli has had a private practise for 2 years where she offers therapy to adults, teens and children. She is happy to work face to face, online or on the phone.
She works with clients who suffer from depression, OCD, social anxiety, health anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, worrying, low self esteem, stress and anger issues, trauma, PTSD and complex grief. She works with a range of evidence based techniques drawing on CBT approaches but also other therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Narrative Exposure Therapy and Compassionate Focused therapy.
Alli works in partnership with her clients using a warm, compassionate and sensitive approach. She believes a thorough assessment giving clarity of causes, triggers, underlying beliefs and what is maintaining the client's problem, is key to setting clear, realistic goals and an effective tailor made treatment plan. She is driven by the positive results she sees from the approaches she uses as well as the resilience clients demonstrate when they show a real determination to heal themselves.
